Where Black Desert Is
Black Desert Resort is at 1500 E. Black Desert Drive on the east side of Ivins, built on an ancient black basalt lava flow with red cliffs and Red Mountain to the north. Downtown St. George is roughly a 15- to 20-minute drive.
Golf and Resort
The resort's golf course was the final design of Tom Weiskopf, routed between lava outcrops, with 18 holes plus a bonus 19th. The course opened in 2023 and is open to public tee times. The PGA Tour first played there in October 2024. The resort also has lodging, restaurants, and pickleball.
Homes
Residences around the course are being built in phases. Rules on rentals and use are set by the resort's governing documents and Ivins City, so review them before buying.
Schools
Washington County School District assigns schools by address, and boundaries change as schools open and close. Confirm the current elementary, intermediate, middle, and high school for a specific home with the district before you rely on it.
